Cancellations

Cancellation and rescheduling of an appointment, by the client,  requires 48 hours minimum. Late cancellations will incur a fee of 50% of the appointment cost, anything less than 24 hours or a "no show" the FULL amouunt will be owed, due to the loss of revenue caused, before any future bookings can be made.

It is considered a "no show" when the client is not available at the scheduled appointment time and does not contact the groomer to cancel or reschedule. 

Please make every effort to call and cancel or reschedule when possible to avoid such situations.

Parking 

We are a mobile dog groomers, please make sure adequate parking is available, we need a large flat parking space.

An electrical cable will be provided, this will need to be plugged into a normal socket at your home.

If we arrive and adequate parking is not available and we are not able to complete the service, the full appointment cost will be owed. 

 

De-matting 

At Wags to Riches we take pride in being caring and humane and will always put your dogs welfare above all else.

It is an owners duty of care towards their pet to maintain the coat between professional grooms. A lack of regular grooming and care can lead to matted fur that is uncomfortable and painful for your dog and may lead to many health conditions:

• Eye and Ear infections

• Flea infestation

• Fungal and bacterial infections

• Hot spots and sores

• Mites and lice 

• Moist eczema 

• Severe itching

• Skin rash

• Urine and faeces scalding 

• Yeast infections

• Hematomas

 

Small localised matts may be removed by gently brushing out but if this is not possible without causing your dog discomfort or pain they will be clipped out. 

Severely matted dogs will be shaved off with a close blade for their care and wellbeing in accordance with the Animal Welfare Act 2006, it is kinder and quicker for the dog, many dogs are traumatised by unnecessary hours of de-matting, putting them off grooming for life. 

De-matting is not included in the price of our grooms, If your dogs coat has to be clipped off there will be an additional charge depending on the severity of the matting, this cost contributes towards the extra time spent and the wear caused to our grooming tools.

Fleas

If fleas are found on your dog during the groom there will be an additional charge of £15 on top of the original groom price, this is to cover costs for fumigating and deep cleaning of the salon.

Bitches In Season, Pregnant Dogs

we will not groom your dog if she is pregnant or in season.

Also any dog recently spayed or neutered we ask that you receive the all clear from the vets before we go ahead with their groom.

Aggressive Dogs

We would love to be able to help and groom all dogs but we do not take on aggressive dogs, as we work alone in a small mobile salon, it would not be safe to do so.

Dogs Who Have Difficulty Being Groomed

We strive to ensure that your dog has a relaxed and enjoyable time whilst in my care, We are always furthering my education and knowledge on how to give your dog the upmost care and different grooming techniques to help your dog have a stress free groom but unfortunately some dogs do find the grooming process or parts of it very stressful. 

We will not perform any grooming procedure that will cause your dog excessive stress which may be detrimental to their mental wellbeing or that is putting them or myself in danger of being injured.

We reserve the right to terminate the groom if your dog becomes too stressed to continue, with the full appointment fee being due upon collection of your dog.

Social Media Policy 

We love sharing your pets and my grooms on my social media pages and website. 

If you do not make us aware, we assume you are happy for us to do so. 

We will never share your personal details nor use your pets photo for any other reason with out first making you aware.

By booking an appointment with Wags to Riches online you confirm that all facts supplied below are true.

You agree to pay any charges due for appointments cancelled without adequate notice. 

You accept and consent entirely to all of the terms and conditions shown below.

You confirm that your pet is fit, healthy and fully vaccinated.

You agree that the groomer will not be held liable or responsible for irritation, abrasion, patchiness or hair loss due to any pre existing skin condition, or as a result of the process of grooming, de-matting, thinning, stripping or shaving, or any mishap caused by your non disclosure of your pets medical condition or behaviour. 

If your pet bites or attempts to bite any person or pet, a muzzle may be used, or at the discretion of the groomer, treatment may stop and you will pay for any work done to that point and will pay the full cost of damages and expense your pet has caused.

If you fail to collect your pet at the agreed time you will pay all extra cost due. 

If your pet harbours any parasites I will clear them at your expense. 

If your pets health causes concern, I will obtain veterinary treatment for them at your expense.
